DEPUTY SHERIFF PROTECTS 1ST AMENDMENT AT ALBANY AIRPORT

This is what law enforcement is intended to do, protect your rights and safety. This is commendable on this officer's part. He actually upheld a private citizens constitution rights when a powerful public authority demanded this man's ID, stop doing what he had a right to do and leave an area he had a right to be in.

Nice to see one of these fellas doing their job for once. If more acted like this, they'd get a lot more respect from people.

When I was growing up, I was taught that you could always trust a Police Officer, and that they were there to help. As a little kid, I think that still had some merit in my fairly small town. But today? All those guys are long retired and what they have been replaced with are not exactly the same kind of folks. Totally different value system, totally militarized, totally police state minions.

  2. Suprise, Suprise as Gomer used to say.
This happens on a daily basis all over this country but for decades it has been fashionable by the media to portray police officers as Pigs. I used to wear a tie pin with a little silver pig on it. When John Q Public called me a pig, I would say; "Why thank you, how did you know that is an acronym for Pride, Integrity and Guts ?"
